1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Intellectum Kids Club. By accessing or using our website (intellectumkids.com), creating an account, or enrolling in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are registering on behalf of a minor child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and your child.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.
2. Description of Services
Intellectum Kids Club provides educational programs for children, including but not limited to:
- Abacus and Mental Math courses
- Language Arts programs (Russian, English)
- Creative Arts classes
- Programming and Technology courses
- Educational events and workshops
- Seasonal camps
- Logic games and enrichment activities
Our platform allows parents/guardians to create accounts, enroll children in programs, manage schedules, view attendance, and process payments.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To use our services, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Keeping your account information up to date
3.2 Account Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you:
- Violate these Terms or any applicable laws
- Provide false or misleading information
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Fail to pay for services rendered
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Account closure does not release you from any outstanding payment obligations.
4. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
As a parent or guardian using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your child, including any allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions relevant to their participation
- Ensure your child attends scheduled classes and activities on time
- Notify us promptly of any absences or schedule changes
- Provide accurate emergency contact information
- Pick up your child promptly at the end of classes, events, or camps
- Communicate any concerns about your child's experience to our staff
- Ensure your child follows our code of conduct and respects staff and other students
5. Enrollment and Scheduling
5.1 Course Enrollment
Enrollment in courses is subject to availability and age/skill level requirements. We reserve the right to:
- Limit class sizes for quality instruction
- Place students on a waitlist when classes are full
- Recommend appropriate course levels based on assessment
- Move students to different class times if necessary
5.2 Attendance
Regular attendance is important for student success. Parents are expected to:
- Report absences in advance when possible
- Request makeup lessons according to our makeup policy
- Understand that excessive absences may affect learning outcomes
5.3 Schedule Changes
We reserve the right to modify class schedules, locations, or instructors as needed. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes in advance.
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Fees and Billing
By enrolling in our programs, you agree to pay all applicable fees. We offer the following billing options:
- Monthly Billing: Fixed monthly tuition regardless of the number of sessions
- Per-Lesson Billing: Pay only for attended lessons
Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. Current pricing is available upon request.
6.2 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit cards (processed securely via Stripe)
- Cash
- Check
- Bank transfer
6.3 Late Payments
Invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise specified. Late payments may result in:
- Suspension of services until payment is received
- Inability to enroll in additional programs
- Collection actions for significantly overdue accounts
6.4 Refund Policy
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Generally:
- Course withdrawals: Prorated refunds may be available if requested before the start of a new billing period
- Camp registrations: Refunds are available up to 14 days before the camp start date. Registrations cancelled within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable
- Events: Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. No refunds for cancellations within 7 days

7. Code of Conduct
We strive to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment. All students and parents are expected to:
- Treat staff, instructors, and other students with respect
- Follow instructions from our staff
- Refrain from disruptive behavior that interferes with learning
- Not engage in bullying, harassment, or discrimination
- Respect our facilities and equipment
We reserve the right to remove any student whose behavior consistently disrupts the learning environment, with no refund for remaining sessions.
8. Prohibited Activities
To maintain a focused educational environment, the following activities are strictly prohibited on our platform, premises, and during any Intellectum Kids Club activities:
- Political Activities: Engaging in political discussions, promoting political parties, candidates, or political ideologies, or distributing political materials
- Religious Proselytizing: Attempting to convert, recruit, or promote religious beliefs to other families, students, or staff members
- Solicitation and Recruiting: Recruiting for other organizations, businesses, or causes; soliciting donations; or promoting commercial products or services unrelated to our programs
- Commercial Advertising: Using our platform or facilities to advertise personal businesses, products, or services without prior written authorization
- Offensive Content: Sharing, posting, or distributing content that is offensive, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate
- Unauthorized Data Collection: Collecting personal information from other users, students, or families without their explicit consent
- Harassment: Any form of harassment, intimidation, or unwanted contact directed at staff, students, or other families
Violation of these policies may result in immediate termination of your account and enrollment, without refund. We reserve the right to report illegal activities to appropriate authorities.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and in our programs, including but not limited to curricula, teaching materials, logos, graphics, and software, is the property of Intellectum Kids Club or our licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute our materials without permission
- Use our content for commercial purposes
- Create derivative works based on our materials
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices from our materials
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes or results
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Intellectum Kids Club, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of our services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of a third party
- Any content or information you provide to us
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date
- Sending an email notification to registered users (for significant changes)
Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using our services.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through:
- Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally
- Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation in Cook County, Illinois
- Litigation: Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Intellectum Kids Club regarding your use of our services and supersede any prior agreements.
